Hello, we have a nice large freestanding refrigerator that we would like to include in our new kitchen. We would like to integrate it into a wall (leading to the pantry). The pantry is not heated. How can we make sure the refrigerator fits as tightly as possible in the wall recess? Visually, it should match the adjacent pantry door. The design looks pretty good in the drawing, but how can this be implemented in practice? The wall is made of solid sand-lime brick. Best regards, Steffi.
Thanks for your tips. Here are some pictures:

I just checked... When you open the refrigerator door to 90 degrees, it creates an additional width of almost 3 centimeters (1.2 inches). Not a very simple matter. Maybe someone else has ideas or has implemented this at home? Pictures are welcome.. Thanks and best regards, Steffi33.

entsprechend soHello Sigi, how about "entsprechend so"... that's exactly what I'm referring to right now. A flush solution would be great..
How large is your current refrigerator, and how tall is the door next to it? Also, are you sure that a replacement model will always be available in the same size?
However, I don’t think you can achieve this without scratches, especially if the refrigerator door is not supposed to protrude.

The refrigerator is 187 cm (74 inches) tall. I might raise it slightly at the base by about 5 to 7 cm (2 to 3 inches) to allow the plinth to run underneath. The pantry door next to it might need to be adjusted in height accordingly. A new refrigerator should have similar dimensions.
