ᐅ Ikea Kitchen Planning – Various Questions

Hello everyone,

I am currently facing the challenge of planning a kitchen for the first time. Overall, it’s going well, but I still have a few questions.

I would like to have a ceramic cooktop (Framtid) without an oven! Now the question is: which base cabinet can I use for this? There are special cabinets designed for ovens, but these always include space for an oven. Can I, for example, use a base cabinet intended for a sink? Unfortunately, I have no idea how much space a cooktop without an oven requires.

The second issue is the dishwasher: it is lower than the rest of the kitchen units. What is the best way to even this out? Is it easier to raise the dishwasher, or could it simply be placed on the floor with some kind of panel or trim between the countertop and the dishwasher?

I will get help with the kitchen installation, including suitable tools (for example, to cut the countertop to size). However, I was wondering how the hole for the faucet in the sink is made? I assume it is punched or stamped out!?

Also, it is unclear to me whether the height specifications for the base cabinets include feet or not. Normally, the feet are sold separately, but then the cabinets would seem very tall to me.
I am referring to the standard Faktum units.

I would really appreciate some tips and advice!

Best regards!

Hello bergpriv,
thank you for your quick reply.
Then my neighbor will have to come up with another solution again.
I didn’t buy the containers, really clever of Ikea.
