I have a walk-in shower with an integrated shower channel. I clean it regularly. After about two years, light limescale deposits have become visible. Of course, I can easily descale the removable part, but unfortunately not the channel itself. How should I proceed here?

Seal the drain and then pour in a mild mixture of citric acid? The shower channel should easily withstand that, right?

Fine abrasive mesh is also great for stainless steel.

Fittings? Are you unscrewing them?

Of course not. I clean them once or twice a week, so no limescale builds up. I do unscrew the aerators and descale them when necessary, about every 4 to 5 months.
