Hello everyone,
as the title already says, I would like to roughly estimate the costs for a completely hypothetical building project in advance, or, if it’s unrealistic, to abandon it in time :-). I don’t have a plot of land yet.
Construction type: solid masonry; only ground floor without basement; with a pitched roof.
Please take a look at my floor plan draft and then bring on your questions / critiques :-)
Thank you very much in advance.
Robin

You won’t get houses for 1000 €/m². A quick online search will show you realistic prices. Unfortunately, online construction calculators and general rules of thumb suggest exactly the opposite, so please understand that I based my assumptions on that price.

That sounds like there are only a handful of plots worldwide where you could build a small, square-shaped house *scratches head* and why should it be twice as expensive as a similarly sized "conventional" house? Because of the slanted walls? Please explainHow many plots near you can you readily find that are at least 18m x 18m (59ft x 59ft)?
And if it suddenly turns out to be only 17m (56ft) wide, your entire planning is useless.
Are you aware that many plots don’t have four corners or are not rectangular?
What will you do if you find a great plot but, unfortunately, your house doesn’t fit on it? Reject it? Or redesign? If the latter, you might as well start planning once you know the plot.
Since all boundary conditions are still missing, I would assume the worst-case scenario for a what-if calculation. In my estimate, that would be closer to €2000/m² (about $185/sq ft).
