Hello everyone, I am currently working on installing Ikea Metod corner solutions for my kitchen and encountering some challenges. My specific question is: How can I optimize the installation of Ikea Metod corner solutions to make it stable, functional, and time-efficient? I am especially interested in practical tips for aligning the corner cabinets, using the supplied fittings, and any tricks that could simplify the assembly process. Are there any experiences or proven methods you would recommend? I would be very grateful for your expertise and advice on how to avoid common pitfalls.

Based on my experience, it is important to use spacers, especially with corner cabinets, to prevent later creaking and internal stresses. Additionally, the corner solution should always be installed and aligned first before attaching the adjacent cabinets. Using a good spirit level and a square is essential for this. Also, make sure that the edges of the countertops fit precisely to achieve a clean appearance and avoid gaps.

Honestly, who wants to spend forever sorting screws when you have a whole day available?

I think sorting actually helps a lot to avoid stress during assembly. Sure, it sounds time-consuming, but I’ve always noticed that it frees up your mind and prevents you from missing any steps.

That’s a great tip! Do you have specific recommendations on which spacers work best, or any that are IKEA-specific?

Also, I’m curious whether you usually assemble alone or with someone else—and if that has any impact on efficiency and assembly quality?
