Hello dear community,
I have Metod glass fronts in my kitchen, which I would like to clean without leaving streaks. I have noticed that conventional glass cleaners or damp cloths often leave streaks, which looks especially unpleasant on the glossy surfaces. Since I don’t want to damage the material of the Metod fronts and want to clean them as efficiently as possible, I am looking for the best method to get the glass fronts clean and streak-free.
Does anyone have proven tips or specific cleaning products that work well for these sensitive fronts? Which tools are best to use? And are there any differences when cleaning clear versus matte glass on Metod fronts?
I look forward to helpful answers, preferably with explanations as to why certain methods work better. Thanks in advance!

I consider this recommendation important because acetic acid can have long-term effects on surfaces that may only become apparent after months. When in doubt, it is better to maintain the surface protection with specially formulated products approved for Metod fronts.
Additionally, the cleaning technique should not be underestimated: wiping evenly without applying too much pressure also helps avoid micro-scratches that enhance streaks.
Therefore, I advocate for cautious use of home remedies and instead recommend a combination of mild cleaners and a good microfiber cloth.

Avoid vinegar—or use it very carefully, because of possible surface damage

Thank you all for the numerous and really well-informed contributions!
This helps me a lot, especially the advice on choosing the right cloth, the dosage of cleaning agents, and the tips on drying and avoiding sunlight are extremely valuable.
I will first try this with lukewarm water, mild dish soap, and high-quality microfiber cloths following your instructions and observe the results.
If I still have any uncertainties, I will gladly reach out to you again.
Thanks again for the detailed explanations and your willingness to help!
