Hello everyone, I recently bought an Ikea Metod kitchen with countertops made of a rather sensitive laminate material. Unfortunately, the surface seems quite prone to stains and scratches, so Iâm unsure how to clean the countertops effectively and, most importantly, gently without damaging them or causing the surface to become dull. Could someone please share tips on which cleaning products to use, whether itâs necessary to avoid abrasive cleaners completely, and if there are any special techniques for removing water spots, grease marks, or light buildup? I definitely want to avoid damaging the countertop unnecessarily since it was quite expensive. Thanks in advance for any advice and shared experiences!
One small tip in case you ever encounter tougher stains on the Metod panel: Place a damp cloth with a bit of mild dish soap on the spot for about 10â15 minutes, which softens the stain and makes it easier to remove.
