this year we plan to build a KfW85 house with the company Fjorborg, equipped with a gas heating system. Our Fjorborg advisor mentioned that new buildings from 2010 onwards are required to generate a portion of their energy from renewable sources, for example through a solar system or a ground source heat pump.
However, I read in the "Renewable Heat Act" that if a house performs 15% better than the requirements of the Energy Saving Ordinance (which a KfW85 house does), this requirement is waived.
Can someone clarify who is correct?
Thank you very much!

Hello,
This concerns the Energy Saving Ordinance requirement related to the use of renewable energies. The KfW has its own standards!
To what extent both are actually economical for the homeowner is a completely different question.
Best regards
