just a quick question: when building a carport, would you use wedge anchors (often called Bulldog anchors) to fasten the posts with H-post anchors?
The posts are through-bolted with 12x160 mm (0.5x6.3 inch) construction screws and structural washers (the thick washers). I would then drive the one-sided wedge anchors into the wood, so the bolts rest against them.
The posts used are 12x12 cm (5x5 inch) larch engineered squared timber.
