we recently completed our single-family house project. It is a townhouse without a basement. Our living area is 150 m² (1,615 sq ft).
Since we are relatively young homeowners and completely inexperienced in the construction sector, we were quite uncertain about whether to take on the house building process. Now that it has been a few months since completion, we are happier than ever and glad we made this decision.
From the planning stage through construction to moving in, we were in very good hands and are pleased that everything went so smoothly. Although the construction company sometimes had to be very patient with us, as we had trouble making decisions during the sample selection process 🙂
One thing we definitely wanted, despite having a heat pump, was an additional chimney flue to connect a wood stove. More specifically, we now want to install a pellet stove in the living room for added coziness. The screed floor is already prepared at that spot, and the pellet stove has been selected. We are wondering if, besides the KfW funding we used for our financing, there is any additional government support available for installing a pellet stove?
Greetings to all future homeowners who have this big step ahead.

Hello,
Whether a pellet stove provides a cozy fire experience is something everyone has to decide for themselves.
I would always prefer firewood as an energy source here.
Accounting credit is generally only given for stoves with water heat exchangers (about 10%).
Best regards.
Stefan29122 schrieb:No! There are good reasons for this. The energy efficiency for this use is simply too low. This should not be confused with the combustion efficiency stated by the manufacturer!!! Furthermore, this pellet stove economically devalues the investment in the heat pump! The same applies to wood-burning stoves, especially if the fuel is not free of charge.
.... is there an additional significant subsidy if you install a pellet stove?

Stefan291221 Nov 2013 12:43Hello, thank you very much for your reply, which has helped us make significant progress. We will reconsider the choice of fireplace in relation to the fuel type.

... We will reconsider the choice of the stove regarding the fuel. That's definitely not a disadvantage! I use a masonry heater myself, which covers 70% of the total building heating demand at no cost, so future energy price increases for primary energy generation for heating affect me relatively little ;-)Best regards
