Hello,
we are building a prefabricated house and would like to install a level-access shower tray in the bathroom measuring 100 x 80 cm (39 x 31 inches), flush with the adjacent floor tiles, meaning without any edge.
Our architect said this is not possible and suggested a fully tiled level shower instead. However, I would prefer the look of the shower tray. Does anyone have experience with whether this is really not feasible? Or does anyone know roughly how this can be planned so I can show it to our architect?
I have already found a shower tray similar to what we want, see the link. Just for better understanding.
The image of the shower tray can be uploaded via the software. Thanks
Many thanks.

This is not about whether I trust him or not, but about clarifying whether a shower tray of this type is possible or not, because according to information online, it is indeed possible and is published this way here.
It’s a pity that one has to justify a question like this here, as I thought this was a forum for homeowners where open questions can be discussed.

Well, anything is possible. It’s a matter of cost and, at an advanced stage of construction, a question of the building structure. But how can anyone here tell you if it will work exactly for your case? If your architect says it’s not possible, then it probably isn’t. Why would they say it’s impossible if it actually were? That doesn’t really make sense, does it?

You contradict the whole purpose of an online forum, where you ask exactly these kinds of questions and rely on practical experience (not binding facts). My manager also earns a lot of money for his job, yet I often question his statements critically...
