Hello everyone,
We are planning to build a single-family house in Saarland soon through a general contractor. We would be interested in hearing some experiences and comments from homeowners. We would therefore be very grateful if you could share your experiences (positive/negative) with us.
There are already extensive discussions in this forum about the general contractors DHI-GmbH and RKR Systemhaus.

We removed DEKRA in favor of hiring our own expert. We simply felt more comfortable appointing someone ourselves.
Earthworks are no longer included with RKR (they were at one point). However, they were done by RKR’s earthworks contractor. The estimated costs for this were very accurate.
Otherwise, no unexpected costs arose (although I was well prepared and had clearly accounted for everything).

So, are they a general contractor who also does planning? Completely forgot to reply: yes, of course. Many houses are custom because they say every house should be tailored to the owner. All the houses I have seen from them are individually designed.

We built with Spektral and would advise against it to anyone. We deeply regret our decision.
