ᐅ Fencing – To Fence or Not to Fence / What Should We Consider?

Good evening everyone, we are currently building a semi-detached house. We have agreed with the immediate neighbor to install a 1.8 m (6 ft) high fence, including privacy screening, between our terraces. Unfortunately, we do not know the neighbors of the other property along the longer side, but we have already commissioned the fence. It is intended to separate our properties. Now we are worried that there might be issues with our neighbor, as the general contractor is being uncooperative and is not sharing any contact information. We are considering installing the fence 50 cm (20 inches) away from the property line and, if there is a problem, planting a hedge behind it.

We hope this is clear.

The zoning plan from 1995 stipulates that only a hedge is allowed as a boundary enclosure in this area. However, many properties have fences, so honestly, we did not take this into account.

We thank you in advance for your responses.

Otherwise, you can of course put up a fence on your property on the left side without asking.
Considering the period until summer, it would be worth thinking about buying a construction fence.
70m (230 feet) on the left and 22m (72 feet) along the street side.
@motorradsilke knows where to get them.
And if you don’t need it anymore (after 5 months or 10 years), it can be resold easily 🙂 , with increasing prices, even at a profit 😉 😎

It will be 2 x 73m (240 feet) plus 1 x 20m (66 feet) 😎 This will be exciting :-)

Just ask the Polish fence builder;
he might have some from previous customers of his stylish new fences showing up every week.

I will definitely do that. When I asked, I was told the fence was ordered in Poland. Two of my neighbors and a colleague who lives nearby are ordering with me :-)

I bought ours through an online classifieds site.

However, ours was very close to the construction site. If I wanted to put up a fence further away from the site, I would arrange it now or as soon as weather conditions allow.
