Good morning!
We plan to install a recessed medicine cabinet above the 1.20-meter (4 feet) wide vanity in the bathroom.
Has anyone done something similar? From a manufacturer’s perspective, anything is possible since we will purchase and install it ourselves. The installation frame will be built into the stud wall by the rough carpenter.
We have chosen the "Asis Prime" model from Emco, but at 1100€ plus the installation frame from Reuter, it’s not exactly a bargain.
What width would you choose for the medicine cabinet? Matching the width of the vanity, or wider?
I would appreciate any tips.
Regards

Knallkörper8 Jun 2017 11:19Interesting how many people have the washbasin. We have two units, each 90 cm (35 inches) wide, with the original Icon vanity cabinets. We also have the Keramag "Option Plus" mirrored cabinets, but not recessed, in the same width. Fits well.
Hello,
It has a pretty appealing design and is still reasonably priced. We also have the base cabinets; at first, we hesitated because of the price, but now we really like it!
Best regards,
Andreas

I’ll try to remember this evening. The bathroom has been in use for 2 weeks.Just a quick reminder...
Hi,
I completely agree, the price is quite high. We thought about it for a long time and looked for alternatives. But we couldn’t find any that fit exactly. At Hornbach, you get them with a low price guarantee and 10% discount on the competitor’s price. Then it’s about €400 (around $430), which was acceptable.
Best regards,
Andreas
