Hello,
After having installed a solar system on my garage for heating our pool during the summer months for two years and being convinced of the concept, I am now considering a photovoltaic system on our house roof. Who has experience with this and can tell me how and when it really becomes cost-effective, and whether it is possible to install the system yourself?

The point at which a photovoltaic system becomes cost-effective initially depends on your financing plans and, of course, whether the system is exposed to optimal conditions. The more electricity it can generate, the higher the potential return on investment.
Regarding self-installation:
I believe that for homeowners who are not afraid of heights and have some DIY skills, complete self-installation of the system with proper safety measures on flat roofs is definitely feasible. However, without craftsmanship experience and when dealing with high pitched roofs, it is safer to hire a professional to protect yourself. 😉
Best regards
Ferdi
