Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a new Metod kitchen. Unfortunately, Ikea does not offer a fully integrated dishwasher with a time-delay function. Because of this, I bought a new NEFF dishwasher with the appropriate built-in height. At the time, I was not aware that I also needed to pay attention to the front panel height. Naturally, I also did not choose a hinged door system with an adjustable hinge. From what I understand in the forum, the only solution now is the sliding hinge. Unfortunately, this is out of stock everywhere. Has anyone found an alternative solution, or do we just have to live with a 60% door opening?
I would really appreciate your advice.

küchenprofi17 Aug 2015 16:38Hello,
The front height doesn’t tell you much... the countertop height is more important here...
With other kitchen manufacturers that have tall fronts, it also works, assuming the base cabinet/countertop height is correct. However, there is usually a spacer strip involved, which is screwed between the adjacent base cabinets, allowing the height to automatically adjust.
I would recommend removing the front panel... open the dishwasher... roughly hold the kitchen front in the open position... and test when it fully opens...
Measure the overhang of the kitchen front/dishwasher, as it remains the same even when the dishwasher is closed and aligned with the countertop.
If you’re lucky, you can adjust the dishwasher downwards... otherwise, the kitchen will need to be raised... a fitting error.
In the worst case, a pneumatic hammer might be needed to recess the dishwasher into the floor until it reaches 90°.
