Hello everyone,
to those who have installed recessed ceiling spotlights (often also called spots) or generally have experience with this topic:
I am looking for a recessed ceiling spotlight that is dimmable, bright enough (>450 lumens), and adjustable in color temperature. I want to control it via an in-wall module (e.g., Shelly or Fibaro), which is connected to my smart home system (Raspberry) and can be operated through it.
My electrician recommends recessed ceiling spotlights with GU10 sockets because the bulbs are easy to replace in case of failure. However, according to my research, these are usually not bright enough. Therefore, I tend to prefer recessed ceiling spotlights with integrated LED light sources but am generally open to suggestions.
Thanks 🙂

Not yet xD
Actually, I’m writing an email to our electrician right now to finalize the recessed lighting.
All dimmable lights will be Brumberg 39365153, controlled via DALI. These will only serve as general lighting.
The rest will be wall lights, ceiling lights, and pendant lights. We’re making sure these are dimmable and provide the right kind of light for each spot. For example, above the dining table, there will be 2x Foscarini Aplomb Large. The rest hasn’t been completely decided yet.
But I don’t think this will help you much. Your floor plan will be completely different. Your ideas and requirements might also be very different.
For us, (or rather it still is) the lighting topic has been one of the most challenging. A science of its own. We even considered hiring a lighting designer at one point. When they gave us their price, we politely declined.
Now it’s going to be a mix of self-taught knowledge and recommendations from the electrician.
A bit like the motto: “keep it simple but sufficiently beautiful and functional.”
