Hello everyone,

We are currently planning our new kitchen and came across the material Dekton for the countertop.
Does anyone have experience with this material? How does its price compare to a good granite, for example Nero Assoluto?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

Hello,

thanks for the information, at least now I have a direction.

So, I already have some rough estimates from the local stonemason, though these are without guarantee, as prices vary between suppliers.

The slab starts at around €350 per m² (8mm (0.3 inch) slab) up to about €600 per m² (20mm (0.8 inch) slab). As far as I understand, thicker slabs are now also available.
Additional costs include cutouts for the cooktop at approximately €180, for the sink around €180, reinforcement for the cutouts at about €23 per linear meter (lfm), and edge finishing depending on the style (beveled, rounded, etc.) starting from about €15 per linear meter (lfm).
Furthermore, delivery, installation, the required mounting materials, and of course VAT will be added.
Just to give a rough idea.

Great, thank you very much. I did some quick calculations right away. When I divide my total amount by the linear meters, I get... voilà: €743. That matches the price from Bauexperte.

It’s not exactly a bargain, but I could still accept it if the rest of the kitchen also aligns with my price estimate.

Thanks again to both of you.
