Hello everyone,

We are currently planning our new kitchen and came across the material Dekton for the countertop.
Does anyone have experience with this material? How does its price compare to a good granite, for example Nero Assoluto?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

I haven’t installed the slab yet, but I have been able to admire its properties. Dekton is very hard, which requires very precise work beforehand, and it is probably more expensive (unfortunately, I can’t say how much). What I find particularly special about this slab is its high heat resistance—you can safely place hot pans or pots on it without causing any damage. I assume you have already been informed about its other characteristics. From everything I have seen, it is highly recommendable if you are willing to pay the corresponding price.

If you want, I can try to gather some additional information.

The features and appearance really impressed me. So far, I have only found positive feedback online. I just worry that after my next visit to the kitchen showroom, I will learn about the only downside (price). If you could easily find out something about this in advance, that would be great. Then we could already consider whether we want to continue exploring this option at all.

I have just downloaded the product manual to get a better understanding.

I’ll be happy to do that for you, but it will probably be early next week.

Good evening,

when this material first came onto the market in 2012 or 2013 – I don’t remember exactly – the price was around €730.00 per linear meter. I believe that by now there are several suppliers offering this great material. Therefore, the price has likely decreased somewhat.
