I really enjoy reading the floor plan discussions and occasionally like to contribute with a post.

However, when a thread spans several pages and the original poster has posted updated floor plans along the way, I don’t always find them right away and have to scroll through numerous pages, which can be somewhat tedious, until I come across the latest version.

Would there be a way to display all the images with changes collected at the beginning of the thread?

I’m not sure how other users feel about this, but I would find it very helpful to see all updates at a glance and avoid accidentally replying to an outdated version.

Good luck, Ibdk14

As a former moderator, I know that linking every photo in the first post requires a huge amount of effort. A moderator would have to review every single post. And even then, you always have to scroll back to the beginning.

I'll give you a tip on how I handle it: I skim through the posts and take screenshots. It works very well with a smartphone and Tapatalk 😉
That way, I can view the photos in my album and even print them out if needed for sketching.

Best regards in brief

The floor plan discussions are just a minor side topic here. The additional section has only existed for about two weeks or so, which is something new. Other forums have different purposes. For example, I am in a forum (topic health/surgeries) where you have to submit photos to the admin first, so they can be posted. Surgery scars apparently need to be reviewed beforehand.

While the forum thrives on floor plans and finances, everything else is secondary.
And just because the floor plans have been rearranged doesn’t mean it’s new.

Doing it manually would, of course, be a bad idea. But automated as an image strip with thumbnails, arranged chronologically—that would be something.

I would like to have all attachments displayed as a “gallery” — preferably starting from the newest page rather than from the beginning of a (long) thread.
What disrupts my overview more is when someone includes an attachment in their reply that is just an unchanged quote of an older attachment. It might be possible to assign sequential numbers to all attachments in a thread automatically. But that is complicated, and forum software isn’t customizable at will; it mostly consists of fixed basic concepts with a limited selection of add-on modules. Many layers of add-ons also increase loading times.
