I now have quotes for the mentioned work. This one is the cheapest — do you think the price is reasonable, or should I get more offers?
The upper floor is only partially developed; would you still recommend insulating the roof now, or wait until the upper floor is fully finished later? So far, the plan is without insulation, but I am considering whether it might make sense to use any leftover budget as roof insulation instead of extra loan repayment.
The final price is €32,641.52.
PS: The specified steel beam is required according to structural calculations — so the offer still needs to be updated accordingly.

I can’t directly apply this to a gable roof because we have a hip roof with insulation between the rafters and no insulation on the top floor ceiling (the ceiling is concrete). According to our architect, it’s generally better to insulate the roof itself, but there are probably many different opinions on what’s best.
I’m not an expert when it comes to insulation, so I would recommend consulting your architect—they will definitely know what’s best. By the way, our insulation between rafters cost about 4500, but for a smaller area.
In my opinion, it doesn’t make much sense to spend money twice on insulation if you plan to finish the attic anyway.
Wishing you all the best with your decision.
