Hello, initially we planned to equip each apartment in our new four-family house with its own gas heating system. However, we have now decided to install a central gas heating system instead. Billing will then be done for each unit using heat meters. So far, so good. But today we visited the kitchen studio again and made some adjustments to the kitchen layout. We wanted to mix gas and induction cooking in one of the four apartments. Is that still possible now? Having a separate gas meter from the utility company seems illogical to me because I would need to set up an additional contract and pay meter rental fees... with such low consumption, it doesn’t seem worthwhile. Would it be possible to install a second, separate gas meter? Could this be connected in between, and the individual consumption credited to the "house account" so that it is deducted from the overall gas costs? I’m not familiar with these heat meters either; until now, we always had individual gas heating systems. I’m a bit confused at the moment. Best regards, Benjamin

You will need a second, calibrated meter. To keep things clearly separated, the first meter should measure the total consumption (one line from this goes to your kitchen) and the second meter should be for the heating system.

Write down the characteristics of both options.
Induction basically combines electric cooking with gas benefits.
Before induction was available for average consumers, people preferred gas stoves because they responded faster than electric stoves.
However, induction can now offer that fast response.
