What minimum dimensions do you think or have you experienced are necessary for a porch canopy?

It should be enough to search for keys in the rain, for visitors waiting to open the door in the rain, or to comfortably bring in the mail.

Is a depth of 1 meter (3.3 feet) sufficient?

We are already quite final with our planning. Our canopy is currently 3 meters (10 feet) long and 1 meter (3.3 feet) deep. Next to the front door side panel, there is still 70 cm (28 inches) available for decoration, a plant, or, of course, the mailbox.

What dimensions do you use?
The canopy will be built as a solid (masonry) structure.

Are you sure about the shape of the porch roof? It disrupts the appearance and symmetry of your house.

If the purpose of the porch roof is to keep x people dry while standing at the entrance, the shape is determined by the direction of wind and rain. How is one supposed to figure that out from here?

Honestly, your opinion?
I find it fitting.
Does anyone else share president’s view?
