Hello everyone,

We will be building with Heinz von Heiden, and they offer an innovation package with a modulating brine-to-water heat pump SICV 6.2H3 and an additional domestic hot water heat pump BW-RS 7, including a ventilation system with heat recovery. Another company, X, told me that a domestic hot water heat pump doesn’t make much sense because it basically just consumes electricity. Can this be said so generally, and is this statement correct?

Thanks!

Best regards, Steve

No, it’s not reasonable.
We have a compact brine-to-water heat pump and consume a maximum of €10 per month for hot water. Even if the domestic hot water pump were given to you for free, it wouldn’t be worth it because of the maintenance.

We’re practically getting it for free, haha 😀 Well, now I know what to expect. Thank you very much!
