Backfilling is already underway here again. Excavation was just done last week. The progress is really fast.

Do you have water pressure issues?

During heavy rain, groundwater layers can accumulate. Therefore, the basement is waterproof against water under pressure, and the light wells are equipped with emergency drainage.

What is the purpose of the expanding foam, then? And no tongue-and-groove panels?

Have a building inspector or expert take a look before filling and clarify the situation if necessary – it’s not too late yet.

Ok, so the top part is just cut off – that’s already a good sign. However, the expanding foam still doesn’t belong there.
