Hello everyone,
we are currently planning our terrace and are considering using 120x30 cm (48x12 inches) terrace slabs with a thickness of 2 cm (0.8 inches), laid on gravel.
Terrace slab with wood effect (porcelain stoneware 30x120x2 cm):
We just have some concerns that due to their 120 cm (48 inches) length, these slabs might be particularly prone to breaking.
Has anyone had experience with slabs like these, or what is your general opinion?
There are also slabs available in 60x60 cm (24x24 inches), but of course, they don’t look as nice with the wood effect.
I would really appreciate any experience, opinions, or suggestions!
Thank you very much and best regards!

Why don’t you use wood?Because of the maintenance required and the durability of the patio slabs compared to wood.tomtom79 schrieb:
So, you definitely don’t install something like that in gravel, but rather in fine gravel. We will soon be installing 90x45x2 cm (35x18x0.8 inches) slabs, but it will still take 1-2 weeks.Sorry for using the term gravel; I actually meant fine gravel, to be precise. What did your patio installer tell you about your 90x45x2 cm (35x18x0.8 inches) or even larger slab sizes, and what did they recommend?
