Are builders sufficiently motivated and do they work well and reliably due to the construction boom, or are they rather somewhat careless or overworked because of the many (potential) customers? In other words, how do you currently assess your position and negotiating power as a prefabricated house buyer (Leipzig region)?

Pinkiponk10 Nov 2019 16:03I thought that since most sales agents are independent contractors and earn commissions, they tend to be more customer-oriented, at least when they can assume that someone genuinely intends to make a purchase.

hampshire10 Nov 2019 16:10Sales representatives, yes; independent advisors, no. Many care about the customer's interests, some less so, and a few not at all. Everyone is interested in their own sales commission.
A good salesperson also provides good advice and helps with decision-making.
A good consultant also advises well but often does not assist much in the decision-making process.
There are bad ones here and there.
The skill is to distinguish between good and bad ones.

In other words: How do you currently assess your position and negotiating power as a prefabricated house buyer (Leipzig region)? Are you looking for the holy grail? It doesn’t exist in Germany.
