scorpion3217 Mar 2024 20:37Hello everyone,
There are words that you don’t use every day or even every year. One of those words is “bulge.” But today is the day.
From the depths of my memory, the word was brought to the forefront of my brain and deemed suitable for this post.
So, on to the topic.
We ordered a new washbasin—from Geberit. The beautiful Geberit ONE, 50 cm (20 inches) model.
Finally, it arrived—undamaged. But on closer inspection, we noticed an unevenness around the tap hole.
A clear bulge (a protrusion) to the right of the tap hole.
Our concern: where has the much-praised flawless quality of Geberit gone? Even basic hardware store basins manage to be flush here (though not all).
The question: is this a defect, or something we have to accept?
Thanks for your opinions. Of course, there are three photos of the bulge so you can get a better idea.

I can’t see anything on the phone. But right at the tap hole, there shouldn’t be any visible signs with the faucet installed - as I said, I don’t see any bulge. Here it is highlighted again visually for better clarity. The fixture would not cover the tap hole beyond this area. Therefore, the bulge causes problems.
I’m not familiar with that. But take a close look at the display model in the bathroom showroom.
