Hello Forum,

we are just starting with a new build and will later renovate and refurbish the existing building accordingly.

The plan also includes a photovoltaic system with a suitable storage unit for a total of around 40,000 euros.

How do you assess whether this topic will receive dedicated support or incentives again in the coming months?

Thanks and best regards

Doesn't this only apply to full feed-in systems? Or did I miss something?

From what I understand, the rates for surplus feed-in have also been increased, varying depending on the kWp.

You’re right. I hadn’t noticed the change. To summarize:

Current surplus compensation (July 2022) vs. Easter package:
up to 10 kWp: 6.24 cents vs. 8.60 cents
over 10 kWp up to 40 kWp: 6.06 cents vs. 7.50 cents

Be careful: the "Easter" package is later than the "July" package ;-)

@ruediger42: It makes more sense to base the photovoltaic system size on the available roof area with a suitable orientation rather than an arbitrary budget limit. In fact, photovoltaic systems are usually undersized.

If the budget doesn’t cover the roof area, start by leaving out the battery storage. That can be added later once it becomes economical. (Currently, batteries are about €500 per kW too expensive.) And if funds are still tight, financing is usually worthwhile. It generally pays for itself over time.

I have now read that the 70% rule is supposed to be abolished for systems under 25 kWp. Does anyone have more detailed information on this?

Unfortunately, not applicable for existing installations. I don’t know more than that.

I don’t understand what this is supposed to achieve. Especially now, as roofs are gradually being fully utilized, this rule would make sense. With about a 3% loss, 30% more systems can be installed in a network section. The rule was reasonable.
