Hello everyone,

Almost a year ago, we built a carport from Karibu. Everything went well during assembly. Unfortunately, now the carport has severe mold growth on two sides, and I would like to know what I can do about it.

I never painted the carport because Karibu says that pressure-treated wood does not require painting.
Can I sand it down, and if so, what should I use? After sanding, should I then paint the carport? If yes, with what?

Thanks for any help.
Best regards

I would treat it with a wood preservative coating.

I would estimate that this is blue stain (bluish mold).

Would that make it go away? And if so, which product exactly?

What exactly does that mean? And how can it be removed?

I don't see a carport, just a few black boards.
Show the entire property, inside and outside...
This is very strange...

And don't do anything for now, except contact the manufacturer/supplier...

Had you leaned anything against these walls? Or was there a cabinet standing outside?
