ᐅ Toilet ceramic height above finished floor level?

Hello everyone,
we are about to install the cisterns and decide on the toilet height. For our Geberit ceramic toilet, the installation manual states 41cm (16 inches) from the finished floor level. However, I personally find this too low. I am now considering a ceramic height of 46cm (18 inches) (48cm (19 inches) seat height minus 2cm (1 inch) toilet seat thickness).
What height have you set in your homes?

Regards and thanks,
Hannes

We have size 46. The lady complains about her feet being too short during longer sitting periods. I would go with size 44.

44 ceramic or 44 toilet seat?

I would also plan more towards being too low rather than too high. In my previous apartment, I couldn’t place my heels flat on the floor, and I’m not very short. Therefore, when planning the house, I made sure it wasn’t too tall and also tested it with family members by sitting and measuring.

.. and I preferred it to be a bit higher … because of age; it makes getting up easier then …

We decided on a slightly lower height so that we wouldn’t need a squatty potty. 😎
