I searched online specifically for building surveyors in my city. There was one with many excellent reviews, so I chose him.

We pay €425 per appointment. Today was the first appointment; the shell of the building is finished. The next appointment will be when the windows are installed and the roof is completed.

It is a flat rate per appointment, including travel. Well, in my case, the expert’s travel distance happens to be very short; I don’t know how it would work with a longer distance!

The first appointment was today and would have taken only about 20 minutes from a professional standpoint. But we got along so well that we talked a bit longer.

And I think we found a really great home savings contract!

Edit: The homeowners’ protection association here in our city didn’t offer a home savings contract. The next one was about 45 km (28 miles) away. That’s why we looked for an alternative!
