Hi, I have received an offer for windows and would appreciate it if you could share your opinions on it!1. What exactly did you inquire about, and what were your specific requirements?2. Where did I miss the questions you now have?

I wanted an assessment of whether the price for the windows and installation is reasonable or overpriced??? So did you just show the window technician some random plan of your house without any further specifications, and just ask, "Hey, can you tell me roughly how much the windows would cost"?

The floor-to-ceiling elements seem to be missing the sealing; maybe it’s included, but it’s not clear from the materials list (e.g., EPDM membrane).Good point. However, this is usually not provided by the window manufacturer. It is often done by a tinsmith or roofer. I always recommend doing this yourself, as it is simple and cost-effective.D

Well, I’ll try to respond appropriately. The first quotes were obtained through our architectural firm. The companies received our design along with the thermal calculation from the structural engineer, plus a few requests from us. After receiving the first offers, we visited a company’s showroom and discussed the position of each window and entrance door in detail. For example, we wanted anthracite-colored windows on the outside and white on the inside, some windows without blinds/shutters, and a simple anthracite-colored aluminum front door without glass, including a sidelight, RC2 hardware on the ground floor windows/doors, etc.!
Since all these companies had very long lead times (10–12 weeks), a colleague referred me to a company that sources the windows directly from a factory in Poland and can deliver within 3 weeks. Their offer is about €1,000 (approximately $1,080) higher than the other companies’. However, it includes anthracite-colored aluminum roller shutter slats for all windows!
To get expert opinions from forum members, I posted the entire offer with pictures so you can see what is being supplied and whether it offers good value for the price. Of course, we had already done our research on windows and entrance doors, reading various articles and forums and listening to podcasts on the topic.
Could you describe how you would approach such a case?
I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one interested!
Maybe a few forum members would like to share their assessment or experience! Thanks 🙂
