Hello everyone,
I wasn’t sure where to post my question, so apologies if this is not the right place.
We are currently completing our garage, which includes installing a garage door.
Regarding the door, we want to choose one from the company Hörmann. Why? Because we’ve had good experiences with them.
Our house is designed in a modern classic style with anthracite-colored windows and front door. The facade of both the house and the garage is white. Until now, we assumed the door would be white as well, but what about a different color? My wife wants to add some wooden elements in front of the house in the future, so we thought about choosing the door in the color “Golden Oak.”
My question is: Does anyone have reference pictures of their house with a garage door in a different color, or anthracite, that they could share here?
With that said, I’m looking for inspiration.

That the gate in the color Golden Oak wouldn’t be “real” wood, but rather wood-look because of the color? I would rather describe it as the shade of a wood-look décor. Almost like a less dyed alternative to the classic water blonde.

I could also imagine a dark green well, Oh yes, British Racing Green.

As I see it, dark green color accents are still very much part of the current discussion – even for a fence. That gives me hope for our terrace railing ... 🙂

I have chosen basalt gray (RAL 7012) for my windows (whenever they may arrive), as it is not as dark as anthracite. The front door will be wine red (RAL 3005). The facade will be light gray on two sides, while the other two sides will vary between dark gray and white. The garage door is planned to be wine red later on.

Color suits the house well.Fortunately, I was starting to think that all the gray/anthracite/black cars and houses represented the peak of evolution,
but things are becoming more colorful again.
