Hello everyone,
We are new to this forum.
We recently purchased a plot of land and now want to build a house. We plan to visit several providers and request quotes. We have appointments with Schwörerhaus, Okal Haus, Weberhaus, and Bien-Zenker. Does anyone have experience with these companies and can recommend any of them?
We look forward to an active exchange.
Best regards

According to a painter, it also depends on the additives in the paint. Algaecides and fungicides must be included.
These do wash out over time.
Exactly, algaecides and fungicides get washed away and end up in the front yard and garden. If you grow anything there, it ends up on the table or on the hands of the playing children... 🙄I want to leave aside how dangerous a washed-out algaecide can be... The fact is, you cannot achieve permanent algae protection. Therefore, a facade will need to be cleaned of algae after a few years, and this process cannot be done completely free of chemicals. All the insulation we install for the global climate has basically caused the algae problem.
Silicone-based paints are also not without issues. They only last a few years before the silicone breaks down, and this material is chemically very stable, remaining in the soil for centuries. It is also extremely UV resistant.

It is also highly UV-resistant. Are your findings known and taken into account by the relevant decision-making bodies? It frustrates me that we or people in general try to do everything correctly, yet something harmful always ends up resulting at some point.
In any case, many thanks to you for sharing your knowledge with us. I have learned a lot. Thank you.

Yep, we don’t have strip foundations, but on the north-facing wall, where a plant pot is placed, there’s green algae growing around it. Probably a silly question from me again: But how exactly does a potted plant affect the algae growth on the exterior facade? I’m asking because we are currently planning a terrace running all around the house, and I would definitely like to place plants there.

After 10 years, even solid constructions face serious issues when surrounded by dense shrubs and trees. How far do bushes and trees need to be from the house to prevent algae growth on the facades? Do you know? Other than that, I'm not entirely sure about the connection. I haven't looked into this topic yet.
