Hello everyone,
I won’t even ask if anyone has experience with a sectional door. Instead, who has experience with a roller door?

We are now facing the decision of which type to choose.

In the garage, there is obviously a car, and a wall separates it from the workbench.

Could you perhaps give me some advice on which option makes more sense?
If any of you have installed a roller door, do you maybe have a picture..?

I think the roller shutter box has to be placed in front of the gate :-(
Why don’t you rather cover your sectional door with concave profiled panels? Where do you see the advantage of the louvered door?

The box can also be recessed inward. The slats just need to be rotated differently, and the box must be made slightly larger. This adds about €50 (around $55) in costs.

Advantage? Good question!
Honestly, I think the appearance is a positive aspect.

How high is the garage supposed to be (or how low the door), if you want to move the box to the lintel / ring beam level (which, by the way, will also create a very deep door reveal)? You seem to lack the understanding that when the slats are wound against their curvature, the winding diameter increases so much that we are talking about a 50cm (20 inches) instead of a 30cm (12 inches) box. Although I don’t know much about soccer, your roller shutter box is clearly offside here if you don’t want to wind the slats against their curvature, even though their concave side is supposed to face outward.
