Hello everyone,
I won’t even ask if anyone has experience with a sectional door. Instead, who has experience with a roller door?
We are now facing the decision of which type to choose.
In the garage, there is obviously a car, and a wall separates it from the workbench.
Could you perhaps give me some advice on which option makes more sense?
If any of you have installed a roller door, do you maybe have a picture..?

Basically, I see the two options as related. The slats on a roller door are smaller and curved in appearance, whereas sectional door panels are larger and flat. However, you can design sectional panels in a way that visually resembles a roller door. I would also consider how each option harmonizes with the frame design of windows and doors. Additionally, both types are available as side-sliding versions. For both, keep in mind that high-quality products, especially in darker colors, are not cheap. Also, be aware that manufacturers in both cases are often specialists who do not sell directly to end customers but rather supply white-label products to window and door companies, similar to door infills.

Unfortunately, I can't say anything about that. But I imagine a roller door as quite "space-consuming." The "roll" has to go somewhere.
And from what I see in pictures online, they mostly look like large roller shutters. At least, that's how it appears.I can't quite understand that^^
The roller door is like a window roller shutter, just bigger. A box is mounted at the top.
If this is an option, I would want the slats with the curved side facing inward.
We have the roller blinds on the windows installed that way because of a planning mistake back then.
Nonetheless, it looks good.
That’s probably why the box would also be bigger, I think...

Why don’t you prefer to have your sectional door clad with concave-profiled panels? Where do you see the advantage of the louvered gate?
