Good evening everyone,

it’s about time for us to start thinking about the exterior lights.
That’s why I’m turning to the forum for recommendations.
We are considering LED up/downlights in window frame color (RAL 7016), with a cubic design. We need a total of six, one of which should have an integrated motion sensor but otherwise match the same design.

Until now, I believed that lamps with replaceable bulbs are better because you can simply replace the bulb when it stops working. However, most exterior lights seem to have the LEDs built in permanently.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you have any experience or buying recommendations to share?

Best regards,
Ippebson

I’d be happy to join in!

Maybe we could place a group order.

We have the Steinel Cubo L840, a very nice light color, I would buy it again.

We were also looking for something like that, but in the end, we decided against using a motion sensor and installed it separately. We went with the SLV Sitra Cube. Installing it isn’t really that easy; my dad was cursing loudly, but other than that, we are very satisfied. We also wanted replaceable units since with 8 of them, the risk was too high if one fails.

We positioned the motion detectors separately. We bought the lights from Luxvenum. There are a few more in front of the three front doors (photo taken quickly). I would describe the workmanship as excellent, and the price of around 50 (approx. 50) as reasonable. There is a volume discount starting from 10 pieces. We have installed about 16 units around the house—on average one every 4 meters (approximately 13 feet). That’s why there is also a view of the model and the box.
