Hello,
I am currently building a new house and wanted to ask whether I should go with the standard star wiring or the Unicable system. There are a total of 8 outlets, but only up to 4 will be used at the same time. Only one satellite is to be received.

Yeah, that’s why it’s already planned for my project.
The only downside for us is that the garage is “behind the house” – so it’s in the satellite reception shadow.
This means the dish has to go on the flat roof. I just need to make sure it doesn’t accidentally cast a shadow on the photovoltaic system there (east-west orientation). So, I’ll probably need a smaller dish.

But unfortunately, the media library app on my Samsung TV doesn’t support live TV :-(
And I’ve had several programs that were not available in the media library afterwards...Yes, that is probably due to the app. I usually watch through my computer, and my wife uses a mobile device. There is almost always live TV from the public broadcasters. Winter sports are never a problem. For some sporting events, there are even more channels available than on free-to-air TV (when there are simultaneous competitions).

For Astra, a small 60cm (24 inches) one tucked away in a corner where it doesn't bother anyone is enough. You should be able to make it reasonably stable against wind loads by placing it on a small flat roof stand weighted down with concrete slabs, right?
