Hello,

Is it worth paying extra for digital thermostats in a new build with underfloor heating, in terms of more precise temperature control?

Best regards

To what extent do you want to specify more precisely what might not work analogously?

No, it's not worth it. You can even consider leaving out the ERR completely with (your) underfloor heating...
How often do you plan to change your room temperature, and in what situations? Underfloor heating systems are slow to respond – that’s why I’m asking about your use case...

Hello,

In the rental apartment, we have analog thermostats, and some of them are not very accurate. The temperature is supposed to be kept constant at 22°C (72°F).

Set it once to 22 degrees Celsius (72°F) and that’s enough; the analog thermostats manage just as well.

Yes, but if it's 21.8 degrees, wouldn't that still be fine? It remains constant and doesn’t change 🙂
For example, there is a scale from 1 to 5; if setting 3 feels too cold, you just set it to 4 and then stick with that.

While some believe you can do without the electronic room regulator (ERR) since it works well once set, I have two rooms where I use the regulation and can also feel that those rooms are colder than the rest.

You shouldn’t be too controlled by the numbers.
