Hello,

As I understand it, the recessed LED light supplied by the BUS system will only receive 24 volts. Is that correct?

Does it then make sense to buy only 24-volt LED spotlights, or is it better to use a transformer?

Hello Frank,

What kind of "smart home system" are we talking about here? The LEDs are certainly not powered through the BUS.

I have a KNX bus system. I have the 24V power supply (transformer) centrally located in my distribution panel and Voltus spots that are controlled directly. The lighting is then managed via the MDT LED controller.

It is also possible to place the transformers centrally near the lighting circuits.

Exactly, which bus system, which lights?

The lighting fixtures depend on what I can use. It is an EIB bus from MyGekko as a ring circuit, and then from the switch probably NYM cable, right?

Your questions are a bit "crazy." Make sure to learn the basics (really from the very beginning) before asking questions… then you can get help.

Regards, Steffen

PS: For the driver, eldoLED is better than MDT controller

ONeill, what type of cable are you using from the distribution box to the spotlights? Standard NYM 3x1.5?
