Hello,

installing large-format tiles (over 30x60cm [12x24 inches]) involves an additional charge here (more difficult to install, different adhesive, higher labor costs). How much extra have you had to pay, and what size are your tiles? What do you consider reasonable?

Best regards,
Sabine

I am at a loss, if anyone knows when it was included.

We install 30 x 180 millimeter (1.2 x 7 inch) boards. The base price is 80 EUR per square meter (9.3 per square foot), and with installation 110 EUR per square meter (10.2 per square foot) (from memory and without guarantee).

However, this does not say anything about an installation surcharge compared to 30x30.

It was referring to Curly’s first post.

... but it does say a lot about the surcharges that others here (when building with a general contractor?!) are allowed to pay for trivial extras. The appropriateness of surcharges was among the questions asked.

For us, the additional cost didn’t matter at all, since the material surcharge was significantly higher and we only have 20 m² (215 sq ft) of floor tiles in the house.
