Hello,
I am currently considering installing underfloor heating (not a heater) in the living room as part of a renovation. Can I then lay wooden floorboards on top?
Regards
Markus

We don’t want underfloor heating, just some warming. The radiators will stay in the room. Then save your money; a wooden floor feels comfortable even without heating underneath. If it is only meant as an addition, I would skip it and rather invest every centimeter in insulation, especially if there isn’t much yet. Wood is already pleasantly warm on its own.
By the way, glued parquet works fine, but solid planks over 2cm (0.8 inches) thick are significantly more difficult. It always depends on the entire construction. There are also existing discussions on this topic. Just search for them.
