I am currently considering installing underfloor heating (not a heater) in the living room as part of a renovation. Can I then lay wooden floorboards on top?
Regards
Markus

However, I would still recommend doing it if the floor type and heating method are an absolute requirement. Alternatively, during a renovation, you could consider options such as a wall heating system with clay plaster.

In modern new builds heated with underfloor heating, the floor surface is only lukewarm even in the coldest winter. This is enough to keep the whole house warm.
