Hello everyone,

As part of preparing for an air conditioning system, we routed six refrigerant lines and corresponding cables through a wall opening to the balcony. Insulation material will be applied around it from the outside.
Next week, plastering is scheduled, and I now want to fill this hole.
What would you recommend using for this? Foam, mortar, or something else specifically designed for this purpose?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Best regards
Harun

Simply fill completely with insulation (mineral/stone wool).

This is safe in terms of fire resistance and airtightness. Unlike other materials.

Just as an example, it should look something like this:

Before using the expanding foam canister, perform a finger test:
Anything that can be crushed between two fingers will also be crushed by the expanding foam.

Hello Harun

What is the house built with? Are the bricks or blocks set in mortar? If so, use mortar to fill the holes. It’s great for modeling.
