We would like to know the approximate cost per square meter of window area, including installation and disposal of the old windows. The windows should be triple-glazed.

Thank you

Best regards,

This varies greatly depending on the quality of the windows, meaning initially the material and possibly the coating. White PVC is the cheapest, while wood with colored aluminum cladding on the outside is the most expensive. Currently, the most common on the market are PVC windows with colored foil finishes. These usually come in profile types AD (single sealing) or MD (also with central sealing).

When asking about the price per square meter, you are quite close, but not entirely correct: the typical calculation is a combination of the surface area and the perimeter of the frames.

Disposal is more likely to be offered by the installer rather than the supplier. Installation (and also removal, if you want to keep the surrounding area intact!) is not a task for beginners.

So, we wanted plastic windows in RAL 7016.

That doesn’t sound unusual at first – in stock sizes, white plastic windows are sometimes sold as promotional items at home improvement stores for significantly lower prices. The window film can also be applied by a professional car wrap installer (but one experienced with full wraps, not just letter stickers).

For custom sizes, it’s better to order the windows fully finished. If you don’t want a film wrap, you would need to find a Gealan fabricator.

What is the purpose? I assume it’s a renovation, and almost every unit has a different size?

What type of windows are currently installed, and what is the reason for replacing them?

For dark-colored frames, thermal aging stress is higher, so I would recommend considering shading on the sun-exposed side as well.
