We have now decided on a semi-detached house from 1982. Some renovations have already been done, and the boiler was replaced 10 years ago.
What we would like to do now is replace the windows and the front door, as these old ones cause significant heat loss.
There is this KFW program for renovation. Has anyone here had experience with it? We are planning to spend €15,000 on the modernization and are considering either including it directly in the mortgage or applying through KFW. As far as I understand, you need to select an energy consultant from the KFW list to oversee the process. What has been your experience regarding the cost of this consultant? Does the KFW loan still make sense financially?
