Hello friends,
I hope you can help me.
I have two questions. We are currently building, and the windows were installed last week.
I noticed a flaw on the window frame, see photo.
Is this considered a defect?
The second question is about the roof overhang. According to the contract, it should be 20cm (8 inches), but I measured 18cm (7 inches).
Is this still within the acceptable tolerance?

Yes, exactly, the contract states approximately 20cm (8 inches).
When the plaster is applied, about 2cm (0.8 inches), I will then have 16cm (6.3 inches) instead of 18cm (7 inches).
I also added a photo of the window, taken from a bit further away. One gap measures 2mm (0.08 inches) and the one next to it 1mm (0.04 inches).

More issues might appear before the final handover of your house—payment is settled at the end. In the end, if I were you, I would insist on repairs, and if they are not done to your satisfaction, an appropriate amount can be withheld from the final invoice. 🙂
