Hello friends,
I hope you can help me.
I have two questions. We are currently building, and the windows were installed last week.

I noticed a flaw on the window frame, see photo.
Is this considered a defect?

The second question is about the roof overhang. According to the contract, it should be 20cm (8 inches), but I measured 18cm (7 inches).
Is this still within the acceptable tolerance?

Yes, exactly, the contract states approximately 20cm (8 inches).
When the plaster is applied, about 2cm (0.8 inches), I will then have 16cm (6.3 inches) instead of 18cm (7 inches).

I also added a photo of the window, taken from a bit further away. One gap measures 2mm (0.08 inches) and the one next to it 1mm (0.04 inches).

Are there special pens available for touch-ups?

Don’t worry about the screws or exactly how to fix these kinds of defects—that’s not your responsibility. I would report the defect in writing. More issues might appear before the final handover of your house—payment is settled at the end. In the end, if I were you, I would insist on repairs, and if they are not done to your satisfaction, an appropriate amount can be withheld from the final invoice. 🙂
