Hello friends,
I hope you can help me.
I have two questions. We are currently building, and the windows were installed last week.

I noticed a flaw on the window frame, see photo.
Is this considered a defect?

The second question is about the roof overhang. According to the contract, it should be 20cm (8 inches), but I measured 18cm (7 inches).
Is this still within the acceptable tolerance?

The defect is a flaw and can be fixed.

The roof overhang at 2cm (0.8 inches) is probably within the tolerance.

What does "repair" mean?
Completely replacing or fixing with a repair kit?
The dents are about 2mm (0.08 inches).

The roof overhang is between 18cm and 19cm (7 to 7.5 inches), depending on where I measure. If it is within the tolerance, I am relieved.
At the neighboring house, it is exactly 20cm (8 inches), and in some places even 21cm (8.3 inches); it was the same company.

Laminated. These are laminated windows, right?

We had similar issues; the surface was sanded down and re-glued.

If you are building with the general contractor (GC), make sure to mention this during the next site supervisor visit.
I think that the plaster application allows for a tolerance that makes it possible to have less than 20cm (8 inches).
Windows: the site supervisor should comment on this. Personally, I don’t find it too problematic, but I’m not sure if it is acceptable.
