Hello dear forum,

we have light/white spots on our anthracite-colored uPVC windows that, in my opinion, come from the plastering. Although everything was carefully masked and covered, there are spots on almost every window frame. We have tried everything from water to all-purpose cleaner. The spots keep reappearing after they dry. As mentioned, we are not sure if they really come from the plaster, since some are located in places that were 100% masked off. Do you have any ideas or tips on how to deal with this?

So, after two nerve-wracking days filled with numerous product purchases, failed attempts, outbursts of frustration, and tears, a local window cleaner gave me a magic eraser, and it worked.

I hope this tip can help others as well. Because no one really needs days where you genuinely think all your new windows are ruined.

One more note: Handle the melamine foam eraser with care, as it can leave scratches.

Was that a special cleaning eraser, or can you also use a regular one from, for example, DM?

Hello,
could you tell us if it was a specific type of cleaning eraser? Do you possibly have a picture of the sponge?
We have the same issue and would appreciate any tips.
Best regards, Melanie

Good morning.
Yes. I would also be interested in the eraser.

Hello everyone,
it was just a regular white magic eraser. Since they no longer had that type, I ordered two different ones online. The magic erasers that dissolve the most were the most effective for me. But be very careful when using them.
